01:52 0 Comments

Method 1 : Show All Icons in Taskbar Notification Area

It might be possible that the Windows 10 upgrade icon is present in Taskbar but its hidden. You can show the icon by using following steps:

Right-click on the date/time in Taskbar system tray and select "Customize notification icons" option. It'll open a new window. Now enable "Always show all icons and notifications on the taskbar" checkbox and it'll show all icons in Taskbar.
If the Windows 10 upgrade icon was hidden, it'll appear now in Taskbar.

Method 2 : Enable Get Windows 10 (GWX) Using Registry Editor
There is a Registry tweak available to enable or disable Windows 10 upgrade app and icon. It might be possible that the Registry setting in your computer is set to not show the icon in Taskbar.
Just set the value of DisableGWX DWORD to 0 or delete the DWORD. The method also contains ready-made Registry script to automatically enable or disable GWX app and its icon.
NOTE 1: Also go to following key in Registry Editor:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\UpgradeExperienceIndicators
And in right-side pane, make sure values of UpgEx and UpgExU are set to Green. If their values are different, change them to Green.
Also make sure Genuine string is set to 1.
If you can't find above mentioned values in "UpgradeExperienceIndicators" key, you'll need to create them manually. You can match values of all available strings with following screenshot:
Restart your computer to take effect.

Method 3 : Manually Run Get Windows 10 App
If the upgrade app has been installed in your computer, you can try to manually run the app by going to "C:\Windows\System32\GWX" folder and run GWX.exe file.
It'll add the icon to Taskbar and then you can access the app by clicking on the icon.

Method 4 : Manually Install Required Windows Updates

If you don't see GWX folder in your computer, that means "Get Windows 10" upgrade app is not installed in your system. To install the upgrade app, you can try to install the required Windows update yourself.
Following are the direct download links of the required update KB3035583 which is responsible to install "Get Windows 10" upgrade app and its icon:
Just download and install the update and your Windows will start showing Windows 10 upgrade icon in Taskbar notification area.

Method 5 : Allow OS Upgrade by editing  Registry

Goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\OSUpgrade
Create the following value DWORD 32 and set name "AllowOSUpgrade"  and set value "1"
Now Check Windows Update you will be able to get Windows 10 Upgrade.

Method 6 : Media Creation Tools

Download MediaCreationTools to Create boot media or Upgrade directly your windows from this tools.

Windows 10 will officially launch on July 29th

07:39 0 Comments

Microsoft has finally revealed that Windows 10 will officially launch on July 29th, 2015.

The release date Microsoft is targeting leaves the development team just under two months to finalize the operating system. In its current state, as seen in the Windows 10 Insider Preview build 10030, the OS is still reasonably buggy, and some minor features Microsoft are hoping to include in the final version are yet to appear. Clearly the team still has a lot of work ahead of them to get the OS in a state that's ready for the public.

The good news is that many of the applications included with Windows 10 are universal applications, meaning they can be updated through the Windows Store at a later date. Microsoft plans on shipping new Windows 10 features through universal app updates after the OS is officially launched, allowing the team to solely work on fixing issues with the current set of features.

New SQL Server 2016 - Preview

05:33 0 Comments

Microsoft is readying a first public preview of its next version of SQL Server, called SQL Server 2016, for delivery this summer.

The successor to SQL Server 2014 will include enhanced in-memory technologies, real-time operational analytics, new security and encryption technologies, built-in advanced analytics with the R language and mobile business intelligence for on-premises data, officials said this week.

SQL Server 2016 will include a new Stretch Database feature that will provide access to historical data by "dynamically stretching" warm and cold transactional data to Microsoft Azure, so that users will have an easier time getting immediate access to that data.

New Features :

Performance

Enhanced in-memory performance with upto 30xfaster transactions, more than 100x faster queries than disk based relational databases and real-time operational analytics.

Security Upgrades

Always Encrypted technology helps protect your data at rest and in motion, on-premises and in the cloud, with master keys sitting with the application, without any application changes.

High Availability
Even higher availability and performance than SQL Server 2014 with AlwaysOnsecondaries with the ability to have up to 3 synchronous replicas, DTC support and round-robin load balancing of the secondaries.

Scalability

Enhanced database caching across multiple cores & support for Windows Server 2016 that efficiently scale compute, networking and storage in both physical and virtual environments.

Access Any Data

Query relational and non-relational data with the simplicity of T-SQL with PolyBase. Manage document data with native JSON support.

Scale and Manage

Enhanced performance, scalability and usability across SQL Server Enterprise Information Management tools and Analysis Services.

Powerful Insights on any device

Business insights through rich visualizations on mobile devices. Native apps for Windows, iOS and Android. New modern reports for all browsers.

Advanced Analytics at massive scale

Built-in advanced analytics provide the scalability and performance benefits of running your “R” algorithms directly in SQL Server. Expand your analytics library with Microsoft Azure Marketplace.

Breakthrough hybrid scenarios

Stretch Database technology keeps more of your customers’ historical data at your fingertips by transparently stretching your warm and cold OLTP data to Microsoft Azure on-demand without application changes.

Simplicity

New tools that make SQL Server migration to Microsoft Azure and hybrid scenarios even easier.

Consistency

Consistent experience from on-premises to Microsoft Azure IaaS & PaaS.

New Microsoft Office 2016 Preview

06:06 0 Comments

Microsoft annonced the latest version of its Office 2016 preview today with a significant change: it saves to the company’s OneDrive cloud storage service by default.
Office 2016 is still in preview form ahead of final release sometime this year. Microsoft also confirmed that real-time co-authoring is coming to Word 2016 desktop in a future release.
Outlook is also getting a big update; attachments will automatically upload to the cloud instead of being attached to the email directly so that you can send larger files much more easily.

Office 2016 marks a major shift in the desktop experience, as Microsoft is bringing some of its online based features right in such as real-time collaboration. Previously this was possible through use of Office Online, but with Office 2016 there's no need.

That is but one of the many new offerings inside Office 2016, so if you're interested, testing it out is really easy. Head on over to the Office 2016 preview page and simply follow the instructions. For more on the latest release, check out the source link below.

How-Old.net ! New Microsoft website that guesses your age

02:21 0 Comments

How-Old.net is a web application developed by Microsoft which uses facial-recognition technology to predict the age and sex of people pictured in photographs submitted to the site. Upon its release in late April 2015, the hashtag #HowOldRobot became a trending topic on Twitter as many users began tweeting about the poor accuracy of the app’s predictions.

In April 2015, Microsoft launched the site How-Old.net as a public demo for their web application “How Old,” inviting users to submit photographs for their algorithm to guess their age and sex (shown below). The site was created to promote the Azure Machine Learning Gallery collection of machine learning projects analyzing speech, facial recognition, vision and text.

First Screenshot from last updated  ‪#‎Windows_10‬ with New ‪#Edge_Browser‬

Microsoft first revealed its new browser plans back in January. Known as Project Spartan initially, Microsoft is revealing today that the company will use the Microsoft Edge name for its new browser in Windows 10. The Edge naming won’t surprise many as it’s the same moniker given to the new rendering engine (EdgeHTML) that Microsoft is using for its Windows 10 browser.

While Microsoft Edge is the successor to Internet Explorer, Microsoft will keep its aging browser around for enterprise customers. Microsoft Edge is designed to be basic and minimalist for the future, and early previews include new features like digital ink annotation, Cortana integration, and a built-in reading list. "You're going to care about the blasting fast technology that's inside it," said Joe Belfiore on stage at Build. Microsoft Edge will be the default browser in Windows 10, and the one that most consumers will use to browse the web in Microsoft’s next operating system.

Intrdocution au nouveau navigateur Microsoft Edge

06:49 0 Comments
